ForestSTATS: New Digital Platform Centralizes Data from the Portuguese Forestry Sector

The ForestSTATS platform, developed as part of the transForm Agenda, was presented to the public at the annual Western Forestry Forum.

In order to value and understand the Portuguese forestry sector, it is necessary to characterize it through numbers, and statistical data is an important tool for achieving this goal.

However, the information on this sector is dispersed among various entities and available in different formats, in geographic files and written reports, and is therefore difficult to extract. This affects the transmission of knowledge and the decision-making processes of those involved.

With this problem in mind, Agenda transForm has developed the ForestSTATS digital platform, where you can find compiled, organized and systematized data and indicators on the forestry sector from various public sources.
