Building on the conclusions of the Action Plan for Electric Motorization for Forestry, this project aims to promote the adoption of electric vehicles and machinery, hybrid or hydrogen engines for forestry operations and transport, supporting forestry companies in reducing their carbon footprint and contributing to the goals of Roadmap for Carbon Neutrality 2050 (RNC2050).
– new mapping services – land cover map for 2022, bi-monthly land use and land cover change maps, maps of vegetation cover in fuel management strips;
– new artificial intelligence (AI) models: stock classes (eucalyptus and maritime pine), estimated age classes (eucalyptus and maritime pine), post-fire landscape evolution, occurrence of pests (eucalyptus and maritime pine);
– rural fire risk warning and forecasting platform.
