FORESTWISE, AS THE DATA CONTROLLER, IS COMMITTED TO PROTECTING THE PRIVACY AND PERSONAL DATA OF ITS CUSTOMERS AND WEBSITE USERS AND HAS THEREFORE DEVELOPED AND ADOPTED THIS POLICY AND THE PRACTICES DESCRIBED HEREIN. THIS POLICY EXPLAINS HOW YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS COLLECTED AND PROCESSED, SO WE ADVISE YOU TO READ IT.

4.4. If the law provides for a specific or mandatory period, the data conservation period shall be that one. In all other cases, personal data shall be kept at most for the times indicated above, periods which ForestWISE considers sufficient for fulfilling the purposes.
4.5. At the end of the retention period, all personal data collected will be deleted.
5. HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
5.1. We will collect your personal data through the forms on the website, but also through the website and the communication it makes with your equipment and the e-mail messages you send us.
5.2. Your personal data is collected through your equipment as follows:

d) IP address;
e) Through your User details.
5.3. ForestWISE undertakes to process your data in accordance with the law and in a legitimate manner.

5.5. ForestWISE services are not aimed at minors, no personal data of minors will be intentionally processed.

7. HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
7.1. Your personal data is kept secure through the adoption of various security measures, of a technical and organisational nature, which ensure that only those Employees who are required to access it, in accordance with the access needs and rules created for the purpose, have access to the personal data.
7.2. To protect your personal data we only use data centre providers who provide adequate and documented security measures, including guarantees that your personal data is stored on servers that are maintained in controlled environments with limited access.
7.3. Personal data is held on secure servers at Almouroltec – Serviços de Informática e Internet Lda. (PTISP) with NIPC 502 665 696 and head office at Estrada Nacional 3, Constância Shopping 9 C – 2250-028 Constância, and on secure servers at Intuit (“MAILCHIMP”), with head office at 2700 Coast Ave, Mountain View, CA 94043; which provide us with adequate security guarantees for the protection of personal data against disclosure, loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised processing or access, as well as against any other form of unlawful processing.
7.4. Similarly, when you browse the website, we protect your data with encryption, such as Transport Layer Security (TLS), a security protocol that protects telecommunications over the internet).
7.5. Although we take the care and precautions we consider appropriate to protect the personal data you provide and collect from us, you should be aware that no security system is impenetrable.
8. HOW YOU CAN EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS:
8.1. Before we explain how you can exercise your rights, you should know what they are. The law gives you the right to ask us to exercise the following rights:

d) Limitation of processing: the right to obtain the limitation of processing if one of the situations listed in the legislation applies;
e) Opposition: the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you;
f) Portability: the right to receive personal data concerning him/her in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
8.2. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Portugal, the National Commission for Data Protection at www.cnpd.pt)

8.4. If you request us to delete some or all of your personal data, some of the services you have requested may not be provided to you and ForestWISE will retain only the personal data necessary to comply with its legal obligations.
9. WHEN DO WE COMMUNICATE DATA TO THIRD PARTIES?
9.1. ForestWISE may use third parties to provide certain services, such as maintenance, technical support, marketing, invoicing or payment management, which may have access to some of your personal data, namely, the data required for the contracted purposes.
9.2. ForestWISE ensures that the entities that have access to the data are credible and offer high protection guarantees, never being transmitted beyond what is necessary to provide the contracted service, remaining, however, the ForestWISE as responsible for the personal data provided.
10. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES.
10.1. The website may contain links to other websites which may collect and process your personal data and, such processing is the sole responsibility of the owners of those websites, and ForestWISE has no responsibility for their policies and/or practices.
10.2. DATA TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION.
10.3. In the event that data transfers may occur to third countries outside the European Union, ForestWISE shall comply with the legal rules, particularly with regard to the suitability of the destination country in relation to the protection of personal data and requirements, which are applicable to these transfers, and personal data shall not be transferred to jurisdictions that do not offer guarantees of security and protection.
11. MINORS.
11.1. The website is not directed to minors under 18 years of age, therefore we request that these minors do not provide us with personal data through the website, application, social networks and social media or emails.
12. SENSITIVE PERSONAL DATA.
12.1. ForestWISE would appreciate it if you did not send or disclose to us any sensitive personal data, i.e. information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic information, biometric information, health data or data concerning a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation.
12.2. Should you nevertheless send or disclose these categories of personal data to us, they will be deleted immediately.
13. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY.
13.1. ForestWISE reserves the right to readjust or amend this Privacy Policy, at any time, being these changes publicized.
