This project aims to develop new forestry and plant production models for cork oak forests that are more adapted to new climate scenarios. These scenarios contribute to drought and pests, with severe impacts on cork production. This knowledge is instrumental in the national context, since cork agroforest systems prevail, especially in the southern region, and the Portuguese cork sector is the leader in world cork production and transformation.
