On November 6th, the members of the Experimental Plots Network gathered at the Herdade da Mitra, University of Évora, to visit the permanent holm oak (Q. rotundifolia) plots established and monitored by the University of Évora, which are part of the transForm Agenda.
Intensive monitoring is conducted in these plots, focusing on tree growth and ecophysiology, climate parameters, and soil moisture.
The objective of these plots is to study the structural and functional relationships of trees in interaction with environmental variables. In this way, the aim is to adjust silvicultural models to the specific edaphoclimatic conditions of the evaluated species, promoting more adaptive forest management.
