Management of Resilient Forests

WP1 aims to contribute to more productive, biodiverse, and resilient national forests, reinforcing the natural capacity for carbon sequestration. This will be achieved through sustainable forest management, coupled with silvicultural best practices adapted to climate change and digital technologies that contribute to decreasing the risk of fire. Improving the quantity and quality of wood and cork available locally is key to supporting the sustainable growth of forest industries, with cascading effects on the socioeconomy of rural areas.
